Anyone know if you can run a stock OEM clutch cable with a BBK GRIPP aluminum quadrant (single hook), and a firewall adjuster? Reason for asking it was mentioned too me that the stock cable maybe too long. Anyone using this combo? I have a BBK adjustable cable right now and it is not working out. Making clutch pedal very heavy, and "creaks" when pushing down on it.
Thanks

Sorry car is an 89.

Worked for me with the Steeda kit

I just put in a steeda quadrant and firewall adjuster and I used the stock cable. I heard from a lot of places that the oem cable is the best. It worked out great. I didn't want to mess with adjusting a cable under the car anyway. So I used the OEM cable and I have an adjustable one as backup. I imagine it would work fine with the bbk kit. My car is an 89 also.

the aftermarket cable is much thicker, but beileve it or not, the oem is stronger. I know a few people that got a thick ass aftermarket cable becouse the guy at the shop told them they needed it(read:shop guy trying to make an extra buck). and now they are adjusting thier clutch every week becouse thier extra thick cable that they "needed" won't stop streching
