I am taking off my Steeda U/D pulleys and putting my stock pulleys back on in preparation for a 9 psi KB. I noticed my stock crank pulley (which has been in storage) looks kind off rusty and rough, so I ordered a replacement pulley from SHM. When I compare the pulley I got from SHM to the one that originally came on my car I noticed a couple differences: 1) The metal ring in front of the part the belt rides on is slightly smaller in diameter, although the part the belt rides on looks to be the same diameter on both pulleys. 2) The holes in the ring on the back side of the pulley are in different locations than on my stock pulley. So my questions are: Did Ford update or change the crank pulley at some time? And, since the 4.6 is a 0 balance engine, will this slightly different pulley work with my engine assuming its for the 4.6? The part I ordered is for a 99-04 Mustang GT. My car is a 2003 GT.
