stock driveshaft

anyone know the diameter of the stock driveshaft?? i know the aluminum is 3.5". it is bigger than the stock right?? cause i just put a driveshaft loop in and it seems kinda close if i had a bigger diameter driveshaft it may be tight in there.

Yes the stock driveshaft is a smaller diameter than the aluminum version. I know that both HPM and Metco make a version specifically for the aluminum driveshaft. I've got an Metco on mine and have no clearance issues with my aluminum driveshaft.

i can fit my thumb between the stock driveshaft and the bolts. so maybe like 3/4" on either side. how much bigger is the aluminum driveshaft?

Stock driveshaft is 3"......I measured it before I put in my aluminum one.

That should be enough if your motor and trans mounts are good.
