im thinking of the MRT 3.5'' rolled tips, but says it wont fit the stock 2.25'' exhaust. Ive heard most ppl say our stock exhausts are 2.50'' (which the MRT's will fit).

Who's right? I am assuming the Bullitt system is the same as a GT sans minor muffler changes.

stock is 2.25"

what size are the inlets on the exhaust tips you want to buy? if they are 2.5" than any decent exhaust shop will have no trouble welding on those exhaust tips to your system.

The bullitt has the same exhaust as a regular GT except different mufflers and 3" rolled tips.

Save the tips, you could ebay them and get some $$$ if they are cleaned up.

damn, the ones I want wont fit 2.25'', MRT has a warning about that.

I just wanted 3.5'' as I'm doing the Cobra rear bumper mod and those bumpers scream 3.5'' tips.

well ill go see how it looks with my stock tips and go from there. thanks, gentlemen.

you can make a 2.5 tip fit a 2.25 pipe. just have the exhaust shop make a flare and flare it up to the tip. i thought bullits had cobra exhaust on them? wasnt that the big thing, suspension, brakes, and cobra intake&exhaust?

2.5 will fit fine, not the 3.5'' MRT ones.

we have similar GT exhaust systems, with a slight freer-flowing set of mufflers for that unique Bullitt sound.

cat-back is a no no. I want to keep the stock Bullitt sound. maybe an o/r prochamber to make it slightly louder.
