Who makes the stock pump in our cars?

i installed a walbro 255 in my car last saturday and the one i pulled said walbro so im trying to determine if its stock or maybe a small upgrade... the number on the 255 is different than the one i yanked. Now curiosity has the best of me

A stock part would have Ford Motorcraft stamped or printed on it. They would also have a part number on it. If you yanked a pump with walbro on the side of it, chances are that it was upgraded at some point in time.

What mods came with the car when you bought it?

the pig was stock, so i can only imagine the previous owner bought one if the stock pump died

Walbro did supply the OEM pumps. A new one at the dealer, even today, will likely say Walbro.
