My buddy was telling me my car has stock 3:73 is that true

no it's 2:73 stock, or it might be 3:08 depending if u have an auto or 5spd

I believe in 94 you had an option to go with 3.08s' with a manual. But not in 95. 95 manuals have 2.73s' stock. There should be a metal tab attached to the diff cover with 2L73 or 273. The 'L' is the traction lock (posi) limited slip differential.

more than likely you have 2.73's. I have heard of a few with 3.08's bone stock from the factory. But 3.73s....I don't think so. You can check by opening the driver's side door at the information from the factory. It will have the gearing right in there along with the Curb weight and crap like that.

Look on the door jam Vehicle certification label under 'AX':

8 = 2.73 open differential
E = 3.27 Traction-Lok
M = 2.73 Traction-Lok
Z = 3.08 Traction-Lok

Yes, I had 2.73 and put 3.73 and WOW they really made the most sotp difference than any mod I have done.
