After dinner last night, I went out to the car and started her up. After I got my seatbelt put on, and my cell plugged in, I couldnt remember if I had started it. I had to look at the gauges.

I had too for inspection and it was the worst sounding car ive ever heard. Sounded like a beater with the exhaust falling off. Of course mine has the 6 cats on the stock h because its a 97 but i couldnt believe how bad it was.

made me embarrased when i saw some of my friends because it sounded like arse

I was running an O/R H + flows for a while, then had to put my stock H back on for inspection. My brother driving the opposite direction of me on Main St. and didn't wave because the car was so quiet that he didn't think it was me.

Does an O/R H really make it that much louder? Damn, and I thought my stock exhaust was loud

Your kidding lmfao. I know the 6 cats are quiet, but you should be able to tell its on with an aftermarket catback.

AHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!! Been there...back in the day, exhaust was the last thing I wanted to do. Actually I didnt want to touch it because I loved how it sounded...same goes for the stock shifter. LOVED it.

SO one day in traffic, this 01 cobra revs at me...OMG "I WANT THAT EXHAUST!!!!!!" So I began my adventure...and found that same sound after alot of research. Magnaflows and an O/R X pipe. Havnt looked back.

Shifter wise, I just took the plung after a few 3rd gear misses..ONLY because of the promis of no more missed shifts. I thought the stock shifter was short...so I didnt expect like any difference there.
Threw it on and put it in reverse to take it for a drive and it goes in....im like " I think its still in neutral...NO WAY it could be that close"...so I put it in neutral and back to reverse and sure enough it felt literlay like I moved the thing a half inch LOL...couldnt believe it.

SOOO point being...if EVERYBODY has a particular part (say catback or chip)..then thats probably a good indication that it does work. So mang, take the plunge and throw LT/OR X(H)/ CB on that car . The sound alone is worth it over weldins.
