Stock Heads & Cams

Can I put my stock PI heads and cams on Vt's Sportsman Shortblock, the shortblock is a cast iron block with forged internals, I was just wondering if my PI heads and cams will work for that set up.

I don't see why not

It may not be the optimal setup, but it would work for the time being. Then when you get the $$$, get the heads ported/polished and some good cams from VT, Comp Cams, or Crower.

How would it hold me back if I kept them stock? And How much will it cost to get them ported and polished.
