stock intake max tb size

my 88 has a stock intake and tb i would like to upgrade the tb when i ugrade the exhaust can a 70mmtb bolt to the stock intake. if i us a 70mm now i would not need to ever upgrade ever again and buying heads and intake at the same time later on would be alot of money as it is.

i think 65 mm is the limit........however, being there is a spacer(egr) in between it ( the tb) and the manifold it will physically bolt on, you'd just have a lip going from the spacer to the manifold.......i did see an article in a magazine( june 2004 issue of 5.0 mustang and super fords) though where they did just that and left it alone because they were doing future mods.....so it can be done, although i'm betting most in here will tell you to either use a 65mm or just wait till you get a manifold.
