Stock intake porting: where or how?

Anyone in the jersey area know where I can take my upper/lower intakes to get ported? How much would it be? Is it worth the money? How much power can I expect?

My friend did it himself on his probe, what are the dangers of trying to do it yourself?

I'd say try it yourself or have your friend do it.. If it gets messed up, just a good excuse to buy a new one

Talk to TMoss.
Porting the Upper is basically useless with stock heads. It flows about as well as they do. Porting the lower is a different story. The lower is the bottleneck. I have a TMoss ported lower and it deffinately made a difference to me. Car pulled easier past 4500 to redline. I'll probably ditch it when I install my AFR/FTI combo but for stock heads and cam and what have you.. it's pretty good. Good price too.

although i am switching to an eddy soon. The t-moss one will give you a kick in the pants for the money, a lot of torque
