So blew up my 347, #1main bearing failed and the crank snapped(Scat cast) right in front of the #2 main

I may try to salvage what I can out of it but the stock block after a failure like that has me concerned.

So my plan for the rest of the season is to throw my stock long block(118k miles) in with the vortech(possibly pulley change for less boost)

What valve springs should I use on the E7 heads and will I need hardened push rods too? Most likely staying with stock rockers

I agree, same power with less boost.

I haven't gotten them off yet but, I can almost guarantee there's bent valves... If there are none bent I will ..

But also concerned with the roller rockers having metal contamination in the bearings... No?

But i would definitely need hardened pushrods with those(maybe same length as I have?).... How about stock heads with upgraded springs?

Last resort and I'd be more concerned with the valve seats than the springs particularly, if you plan to use a stock cam. Using a non-stock cam with those heads is about like having tits on a boar.

I would be keeping the stock cam in it...more concerned about the low seat pressure of the factory springs with boost..

I ran boost on a stock block for years, on E6 heads, with stock E6 springs.

Ok cool thank you. So valve spring and push rod upgrade is not a necessity.

Not if you keep everything within reason. It's RPM and valve train weight that make valves float and not so much about boost.

Might have to get a Dart block but don't want to and if I do, then 363 instead of 331. Thoughts on what I've already bought so far.......
