Stock MAM size and flow#s

Are the stock 88-93 MAMs not 55mm? Does anyone know what the CFM is that they flow stock? Or is it really 606 CFM and the 58mm diameter listed is a misprint? How about a bored out to 60mm stock MAF? How many CFM would that flow?

I checked the 94/95 FAQ with the all the airflow #s says:

Now, I coulda swore that a stock MAM was only 55 mm, not 58.. I read that in a few of the Ford hi po magazines... years back. Has anyone one here ever flow tested a stocker thats been hogged out from 55 to 60mm? The reason I ask, is because I am having a problem with my LX running lean and having some light detonation, plugs are white, and I DO think its C&L 73mm MAM related.

So, if, from that FAQ page a 65mm [which I have] T body, flows:
THROTTLE BODY AIR FLOW DATA (In CFM):
2.Accufab 65MM, 616 CFM

Then if a stock 55mm [or even if its 58 but I dont think so] MAF flows 606 CFM, then a 60mm MAF must flow close to the same as a 65 mm T body.. [cause theres no throttle shaft obviously]. And if thats the case, then, i'll put my bored stocker back on until I need larger injectors... but i'd like to know if anyone knows what a bored out 60mm stock MAM flows???

Only info I can find to back the size [55mm] up is on ProMs site:

And it says the maximum recommended HP for a 55mm meter is 320.... Funny on that same page the stock injectors crap out at just a bit more HP than that. This has to be flywheel HP..

Would just like to know what a stock one, and a bored to 60mm MAM flows CFM wise to see if there's even a requirement for this C&L I have at this point in the game.

I am going to bring the bored out stocker when I hit the track in a few weeks [once my suspension and tq boxes are done] and the MPH should show if there is a diff...

I got to thinking.

A 65mm T Body is said to flow 10% more than the stock 60mm one in the Summit catalogue..

So.......

If a stock 55mm flows 606 CFM, and I have increased my meters size by 5mm, would it still flow 10% more than it did before like the T bodies??? Which mathematically would end up 666.6 CFM [HA.. look at the number ].

To me it seems believable that a 60mm hole with no throttle shaft/blade could flow 666 CFM.. in which case it would actually match up to the 65mm T body fairly well???

*edit* - I just went to the 94-95 FAQ sheet. And after some quick math, it would appear that the Summit catalogue is off with thier 10% over stock claim [FRPP 65mm T Body ad]??? A 5mm inscrease in T Body size over its previous size according to the CFM #s on the FAQ page is actually pretty close to a 17% increase, not 10%. [its within a only few CFM every time I calculated it] This worked all the way up too.

So, if that works the same for a MAF [somehow I think i'm doing this all for nothing LOL] then 55mm @ 606 CFM should = 60mm @ 709 CFM.
