Stock mid-pipes...are they the same for all 96+ GT's?

I am trying to bolt up a stock mid-pipe onto my GT and the drivers side flange doesn't match up...the wholes are not wide enough? this pipe is from a 99+ GT going onto a 98 GT....I figured it wouldn't of made a difference...

anyone have any ideas? can I just make the wholes bigger so it will fit?

also this one is missing the hanger that is near the rear o2 sensors....

the pipes are different. my stock midpipe on my 98GT has 6 cats on it, but i cant touch that cause of smog. hangers are in a different place iirc.
