Ok sorry for all the questions guys, I'm a SN95 guy..lol
My question is about my 89 Coupe..it's bone stock. My oil press guage fluctuates between idle/driving which is cool because my 95 gt didn't...it was a on/off type thing. Well I was wondering where your needle sits on your guage at idle and while driving. I know this motor is worn, but has always had good oil press so it didn't bother me (a lil smoke and oil add every now and then) Well this week I noticed the needle was sitting noticably lower than it normally does.
At idle it is almost at 0 or in the red (sits ay the notch before 0) and while driving it is about 1/4 the way up.
Maybe it's my sender..but just wanted some opinions. No I'm not putting a real guage in the car, it is stock and just my daily driver so I'm not wasting my money on a aftermarket oil press guage.
Well?

Thanks Chris

just get a new gauge and know for sure what gives, IMHO. an oil pressure and water temp gauge is a must, IMHO, for foxes. you are really guessing otherwise.

good luck.

edit, just read that you wont put a real gauge in. how about hookin one up for testing purposes while you have your stock sender out (during replacement)?

good luck.

Whats up Bill...good to see you on here man.
I changed the sending unit again because the needle started acting all crazy today, and Wa-La my oil press is fine. Idles about 1/2 way up...guess that sending unit I had went bad after 3 months...WTF Well atleast the motor is ok...I was getting worried.
