Stock Rods and Boost?

How much horsepower before the stock rods give up? Getting my PI headed Cougar ready for a 9psi AED and if I can get away with just upgrading the pistions and not the rods, I wont. I've been told between the 400-425fwhp range. Sound accurate?

that sounds fairly accurate, however they will not last very long with lots of hard driving. i would honestly upgrade the rods and then not have anything to worry about.
