i bought pro lites from dss and after 1 month of bs they are finally here......but they have floating pins.....and my friend bobby who is building the motor doesnt know if i can use those pins with stock rods????? anyone have a answer for me before i cal D.S.S??????? what is the diff betwen the stock pressed and the floating pins???

You can use the pins with stock rods, they just wont be floating. Will not need to use the circlips either. If you want to run floating, then you will need bronze bushed rods that are honed to have the pins slide in them freely. The advantages are minimal unless you are runnig very high RPM or a turbo that creates a lot of piston heat.

Yes, the pins will press fit into the stock rods and you will not use the circlips, this will work just like stock parts. If you want to have full floating pins then you would need to buy new rods that are bushed for that purpose.

Take the rods and pistons into the machine shop, they will know what to do.
