Storage in place of cd player??

The Mustang usually came with a storage tray there if it only had a CD player and no tape player. I'm sure late model or someone like that sells it. You can also get a block off plate from Florida 5.0.

My non-mach460 equipped (only option it did not have as a GT) mustang had the storage bin. I took it out years ago when I picked up a Sony 10band digital EQ.

Should be fairly common of a part to get a hold of with all the 6ers out there.

Not that it's that important, but my car, and most of the GTs I've seen had the storage bin with the Mach 460 stereo. I usually see the dual tape and CD player on Cobras. Not that it wasn't an option on a GT, I just haven't seen that many setup like that. I don't know why anyone would be that concerned with getting a tape player in 94' anyway.

I have never seen or been in a 460 equipped mustang from 94-98 that did not have the cd/tape two piece combo. Every non 460 car I have seen had the single unit and bin. I understand the 460 can come with or without the 2nd piece...just it has not been what I have seen as the norm were I am.

Still v6 coupe's would probably have the best odds of having the bin since there were so many of them made and they probably had on average less upgrades to not have the bin.

That stuff is so weird to me, because my experience has been the total opposite. I had a friend from North Carolina who had never seen a 5 speed Mustang that didn't come with 2.73 gears, and I had never seen one that didn't have 3.08s. Somehow dealers in different regions of the country just ended up ordering cars with specific packages.

lol...my 5spd was orig a dealer car in TX (early production run like vin# 615 or something). It had 2.73's and like you most around me have the 3.08.

A co-worker has a 01 or 02 Saturn SE2 his wife bought new before they were together. We are always making fun of it (he makes the best jokes about it) as it has the tape/cd combo...who the F' listed to tapes past the mid 90's? We even made a "mix" tape of MC Hammer songs :rlaugh:. Did they even make cassette tapes in 2001-2002?

So I'm totally going to hijack this thread and not feel guilty about it since the question has long since been answered, and you reminded me of a good story. The last time I had to track down a Casette tape was not too long ago. We traded a bottle of Gray Goose for this 91 Isuzu Trooper Dirka Dirka special a few years ago. The major fault in this vehicle (aside from a homicidal rear passenger door) was it only had a casette tape player, that worked so so. We had one Casette tape amongst us, which was copy of Ride the Lightning. So we ride around with towels on our heads listening to "Underwater Metallica." Sorry if I have offended any Muslims that may post on this site.

I've got every option on my Cobra. And it has the single cd in the radio (Mach 460). And the storage bin under the radio.
