Okay, I get the picture. What is a good sounding catback for cheap, or should I just do american thunder 40 series mufflers?

my flows are kinda loud. I would really like my 87 to sound like a stock cobra, any year from 95 up ... think buying oem cobra mufflers would accomplish this?

i ran around for about a week with no mufflers, just headers and Hpipe. REAL LOUD. at idle it sounds like CRAP!

when you first cob down on it, it will sound cool, like a race car and scream like a demon, but its real loud and gets annoying fast.

If you do it right, it'll sound good. Otherwise, it'll sound pukey.

Here's a vid of my 347 car. My exhaust setup is a true dual (no crossover) one cat on the end of each pipe dumped before the axle. It's the SICKEST sounding setup I have ever heard.

He was talking about straight pipes. Yours has cats on them. Muffles the sound a hell of a lot.

Your 347 is a ton quiter than my 347 is for sure. My exhaust is an off road h pipe and flowmasters american thunders, no cats.

Nah, you can look through one end of these cats and see through. They don't muffle much, they just cut out the rasp and give it more rumble. I've had countless different exhaust setups, including 4 different Flowmaster setups, Flowtech Warlocks, Dynomaxes, Mac's etc, and this is louder than everything except the Warlocks.

You can look clear through a Dynomax Race Bullet....also an SLP Loudmouth....also an oldschool Cherry Bomb....also those Twister mufflers.....see what i'm getting at?

Go to a streetfire or putfile or something and type in the exhaust and Mustang and see what there is... You will never get the 4.6 sound out of a 5.0 (I am trying but its not really working) but you can make them sound good. A stock motor wont sound great, but it should sound good with an exhaust!

Oh and heres a BAD video of my LTs, O/R X and Spintechs. Might sound a little better with the 3" tails I have now, and I will get better vids!

Im about to try out some flowmasters on my h/c/i setup, I love my borlas but I want something louder at idle.
