strange ticky noise

i have a ticky noise that is pissing my off , every time i run the stang at the strip it starts to tick and my temp goes up and the tick doesn't seem to stop for about 45 mins. to an hour :damnit: . cold it runs good but when it warms up it goes to ****s, i have been hearing that maybe a longer push rod will help, i am running a E-303 cam and crane cams 1.7 roller rockers, with stock push rods with about 120,000 miles on them can some one help me out
