Street racing

Hey Guys,

What's the verdict on posting about street racing? I mean, most of us have done it. I've read the ToS, but have seen other threads on this forum about it that haven't been deleted.

I have never done it and I never will. It is stupid, potentially deadly and there is no reason for it. Prove you are a man by going to the track and not racing on the street.

Anyone whose owned a GT past or present who claim they have NEVER raced is lying.

In the past month I've run 3 Ferraris (2 Modenas and today a 355 Spider), even those guys do it. I keep missing the orange Gallardo I see around my complex, would love to see what she has. Point is, from slow to ultra exotic everyone has done it. While usually with age we come to understand that it's dumb it's still done by ALL sports car owners. And street racing has nothing to do with prooving you are a man, it's the thrill of the race, we all proved we are men when we got our insurance bills.

It's not allowed, street racing isn't promoted in these boards.

And secondly, street racing isn't a true form of racing anyway

I agree 100%. We ALL do it. Hell, any chance I get at a red light with a decent car I wanna go! My father still does it and he's 55 years old and a cop! It's the thrill of the race and going fast.

5 minutes after the first Model T rolled off the assembly line, there were guys street racing. And 100 years from now, our great great great grand children will be doing it. Fast cars = wanna go fast.
