Before winter hit, I was trying to take the stripes off my car and I'd get part of the striping off but it would leave the nasty sticky stuff. Does anyone know the best way to get that off? I've tried a few things to get the stripes off but it's just not working. Thanks!

Goo gone or Goofoff. It won't hurt the paint. Just make sure you wax the area afterwords. It helps get the sticky glue off and makes pulling the stripe off easier. They also have adhesive and stripe remover at the parts store.

you can also try ammonia, spray it on the stripes and let it sit in the sun for about an hour that should help to take off the adhesive, I figured, if it works for window tint, why wont it work for this?

You can try a blow dryer to take the stripe off and go back over it with goo gone to get the excess adhesive off.

i did try blow drying them and it did work on some of the striping but some of the striping looks like it's been on there forever and the sun did some damage to it so when it i try to take it off it doesn't peel. i will definitely try of some of the things you guys listed. thanks a lot!

also instead of getting a new paint job this year i decided to go with new striping. any suggestions on what color striping to get!?
