So, Im finalizing plans to start a 331 stroker build, unless I find a decent 65-67 coupe project within the next few weeks. Or decide to just go with a 351. I'm almost certain that I will go with a trick flow top end kit for the 331. I think I might get a supercharger(hoping to have a nice street car- near 450 hp hopefully)- either a paxton novi 1000 or a vortech v-1. Maybe the base model paxton sl. Has anyone bought and installed the new paxton sl? I know its about performance but how do these sound compared to the novi 1000 and v-1? I know for the most part the v-1 is much louder than the 1000. I have heard people saying the novi can be almost silent which may not be a bad thing. I dont mind that because its nice to hear a stroker with a decent lopey cam at idle,etc. Also, would you guys go with the stage 1 cam or stage 2? I know the cost of building an engine gets up there, but im still trying to think budget even with a supercharger. The supercharger will either be a little later on(after the motor is done) or I might buy the supercharger now, put it on my car now and have some fun while I build the 331 on the side. What you guys think...
