Strut Brace doesn't fit properly

I just bought s MAC cold air intake and a Steeda strut tower brace for my 98 GT , and the strut brace does not fit properly for the CAI is in the way? Any solutions? I managed to get the strut brace in, but it just barely touches the hood causing the hood to sit a little more than 1/8" above the fender? Should I cut into the underside of the hood frame, or remove and reinstall the strut brace?

I've heard of fitment problems with the STB before and aftermarket CAIs. Try loosening the elbow where the intake connects to the throttle body to see if you can get some wiggle room. I don't know what you can do about the STB because it definitely should not be making the hood sit higher. Are you sure you installed it in the right locations?
EDIT: If you measured for the STB with the CAI on that's probably where your hood clearance issue is coming from. That could definitely cause the 1/8th your looking at.
