Has anyone ever seriously thought about making their own strut suspension? I was looking at a mag that has the Aussie strut kit in it. It looks pretty simple, but it always does when someone else does it. A rear steer strut set up would help with some of the hurdles of a R&P too. The $3000 kit does not seem like you are getting $3000 dollars worth of parts. There are only a few simple pieces the need to be fabbed if you can find the right donor vehicle. My Saturn Vue looks at first glance like a possible candidate. If you could only get the magna steer to work.

i have considered that kit as well as the one from fatman fabrications. i have at this point rejected both as i feel the stock mustang suspension is more capable as far as handling goes than either strut suspensions.

I'm gonna TRY to use a fox body front strut, and keep it front steer... Strut suspensions suck for handling compared to unequal length double wishbones, but this is my DD, and if it sucks too bad i can always add upper arms and re-engineer later...
