STRUT TOWER BRACE ADVICE

Yea, will take a few hours depending on how determined you are.

Make sure you're using a sharp / metal cutting drill bit to (3/8''). That's probably the longest part there, then having to get two wrenches opposing each other in awkward grip positions while holding nuts / washers you can't even see under the wheel well... hehe

Have fun.

I have to install the brace again on my newer GT ... joy.

2 best points to remember:

1) Use a hole punch or a finishing nail set to dent the center point on each hole before you start to drill. Start with a small diameter bit and then follow up with the bigger bit.

2) Jack that sucker up as high as you can using the frame jack point to give as much arm room to go up into the shock tower. Remember you are using two wrenches, one is blind inside the tower. Ugggghhh....but worth it.

I have the Steeda 4130 Chrome Alloy ones. There are really nice. They SUCK to install!!!!

Here is a real time savor. You can punch and drill the holes or thread them. If you thread them, the install is simple...no hand aerobics and bleeding nuckles. You see, if you use the bolts, they are quit difficult to instal because of the comments others have already made. The instructions say you can put them on either way. To thread the holes, you need the correct tool, but it's worth it.

Another option is to have them installed when you put on new springs.

I have the Maximum Motorsports STB & freakin love it! It's fantastic on the road course and unbelievably noticable on the highway cloverleafs. It's the only STB that I've had, so I can't say anything about the others. Only thing is that if your planning on Turbo or Supercharging, make sure the air intake pipe can fit under your chose STB.
