I just got the Tokico D-Spec shocks and struts with the Eibach pro kit and the shop that installed it for me said that if I got a Strut Tower brace it would make handling better, especially around curves. Is this true? Or is he just trying to sell me something?

Hmm, the GT-500 uses a stut tower brace.

It's possible that the FR-500 does not have a brace beacause the rules do not allow one. Get your Grand-Am cup rule book out.

I doubt that a strut brace with thsoe rose-jointed ends would do anything. Such a brace would only do anything if the forces were exactly on axis to the brace, which is unlikely.

To tell any difference it would have to be a rigid brace.
Again, there is one on the GT-500 in the under hood shots I've seen. Yes the new Stang's unibody is much more rigid than the old one, but there may be room for improvement.
