Anybody ever try to buy longer ones, especially when trying to satisfy NHRA tech rules. I'm not liking the thought of drilling out my rotors for longer ones...

Most wheel shops should be able to get the longer studs for you. Or even your local parts store.

You don't have to drill them out. They are pressed in. Last time I needed to change studs I just used a BFH to beat em out... but a press would probably be the best route.

Oh I had no problem pressing the studs out. That's not the problem...

My problem is that the knurl of the stud is .582 and all the aftermarket ones are larger meaning that I could crack the rotor if I didn't enlarge the hole.

As for the local shops like NAPA they have original length studs but none longer in length. I even stopped by one of the better alignment shops and they didn't carry any either. Maybe Discount tire though... haven't been there yet.

This is really making me want to upgrade to the 16" rims I've been wanting and just avoid the whole problem with my current rims. Dang shank lug nuts.
