I can't figure it out..
341 Octane jumper installed (information only code to notify you if it is installed)

That, along with a code about my disconnected EGR, PS pump, EVP canister, and purge valve are the only codes I get. My car idles fine, but when i rev it, or try to drive, it completely stumbles on it's face. It sounds like it is breaking up, and wont rev any higher than 3k.... But then sometimes it is perfect and revs fine.

Does anyone have a clue what this could be?

I had a code that stated the car had reached it's limits in adding fuel (lean mixture), so the fuel pump and filter are brand new, and the code is gone.

I can almost bet it's the ignition control module! Does the tach happen to flicker or fluctuate as well? Kinda like it's not getting enough spark when it does this huh? peace

Well actually, I have been reading up the last few days, and was hoping it was the ICM, but my tach doesn't fluxuate. @ $128.99, i'm wanting to find a used one! It feels exactly like it's not getting enough spark, or it is emptying the fuel out of the rail, and then there is no more fuel untill the rail is full again. Thanks for reassuring me before I actually get a ICM.

oh yea, the 2.3 doesn't take the same size clutch as a 5.0, does it? I've wore mine out in the last month going through the mountains here WOT... Anyone have a good suggestion for a clutch that can hold down shifts to 5k RPM?

Nope, it isn't the ICM... Just got a new one, hooked it up and reset the computer, it still revs to 2800 @ WOT and then sounds like it dies, be goes down to 2100 and revs back up, and keeps on doing that. Any other suggestions?

No i would take it out and do it. You need a torquex bit to do so. I guess you could do it with it in the car but better off not. IF YOUR REALLY REALLY CAREFULL then alcohol and a qtip will do also if you go this route THEN BE REALLY CAREFULL!. peace

I unhooked the harness to the MAF, and the car had a slight miss to it, but reved fine to the rev limiter. I then took the air box and MAF off, removed the MAF from the box, and sprayed it down with carb cleaner.... Then reinstalled. I would have just taken the MAS off it's housing, but the torx head bolts have a raised dimple in the center, and I don't have a torx head for that application.

It's a totally new car now...
