As for drag racing....where i'm from....where RUZMAN lives (you remember this one RUZMAN?)..there is a main sort of highway called rte 114 in Peabody, MA that a certain Ram Air and Cobra were racing a few years back. The TransAm ran a light, hit a truck and the passenger got ejected and decapitated on a streetlight above. Gruesome scene...3 (i think) highschool kids 1 lived 2 died.

I remember that one. I was there soon after the accident since they the car took out two traffic lights and i had to fix them. We actually have the control cabinet in the back of our shop. It's still covered in engine oil to this day. I should go take a picture of what is left of it. I don't even want to tell you what the overhead traffic light looked like

Anyway, i read that the car that was wrecked in this accident was a Mineral Gray 2002 GT. Everytime there is a Mustang crash, they make a big deal about it. If a honda civic crashes, they say "A green Honda". But if a Mustang Crashes, they call it out by name. I'm telling you the media helps push the racey image of these cars too.

All week long i have had people telling me "hey did you see that Mustang crash? He had the same wheels as you" or other stupif comments like that.

Hey 5L5 take a picture of that stuff i really want to see it. Not to mention...maybe posting those pictures in a new thread may help condone illegal street racing to younger members of StangNet. At 25 I have learned a lot about what to do and not do in a car, and unfortunately a couple of my friends in highschool learned at the greatest expense: Death.
Don't get me wrong, i love drag racing. But again, there is a time, and there is a place.

I'll see what i can do. It's mostly stripped now, just the shell is left and it's buried in the back.

I see all sorts of carnage. Anyone drive by the Fenway near Boylston St. At the Bowker Overpass where you head to go to Storrow Drive? Anyone notice the traffic mast arm missing? A Jeep Cherokee took that baby out one night at 3AM.

How about Galivan at Washington St? There was a hugh mast arm on the island. That came down 3-4 weeks ago due to a pair of honda civics racing. The Honda actually grazed off 2 street lighting poles about 100 yards up the road before taking out the mast arm completely. There were car parts all over from that one. I remember pulling the halfshaft out from the dirt 100 feet away.

Of course we chop and recycle most of the metal right away so i can't take pictures of what is left of that stuff. One of my favorite games to play is "guess the car by the parts left on the ground". Sadly, a lot of times i do find Mustang parts. Last summer i scored an entire nose from a V6 Mustang left at the accident scene. The nose was junk, but left were the two headlights. Those went on Ebay!
