I don't even know. When he said 309 stroker, I corrected him and asked if he meant a .070 over 302, and he swore it had a stroker crank in it.

i was more so saying that the guy is a mechanich at a Ford dealership... and is spouting off some really bad mechanical BS. it makes you wonder how he got his job and how well the cars he worked on have been worked.

i wouldnt want to have a guy work on my vehichle that couldnt tell me correct info on the cars he was working.

makes you wonder... makes me wonder

It's the lack of pistons not the lack of tuning, although I have a buddy with a 500hp miata that would walk all over mine I still have to give him crap for having half a motor

I have a friend with a 550hp Civic, thing is real deal nuts. He ran a 11.4 a while back with a smaller turbo then he has now. Even daily drives it to work.

Oh no, this was at a hole in the wall place, not a dealership.

If everybody had that attitude, we'd all be driving LS-powered F-bodies. Nothing wrong with thinking outside the box!

Once back in high school I pulled up to a local cafe in my 91 LX 5.0 and as I was heading up the steps to go inside I saw this kid who was a well-known douche and a year behind me in school near the door and he goes "Nice Mustang" very sarcastically. I waved him off and continued towards the door, but then he goes "Not really, its a piece of ****, everybody drives a stupid Mustang" so that kinda got to me so I said "Oh yeah a-hole, if my car is such a piece of **** what do you drive?"

His response?

Proudly: "A Saturn"

I laughed and asked him if he thought there was a reason Mustangs are popular and also pointed out the 7 Saturns in the immediate vicinity. The only other Mustang besides mine in the area was an SN95 V6.

Later I saw him drive away in his 94-ish beige 4-door Saturn with a missing hubcap cracked quarter panel and low-hanging Auto-Zone special fart can loudly advertising the fact that it was also equipped with a slushbox transaxle.

EDIT: I have more stories of stupidity, I just have to try and recall them in enough detail to make them worth posting.

A guy told me that his 350LT1 Caprice was a rocket. It was stock, and no matter what kind of Mustang he raced, he beat. He even raced his buddies car that ran 9's and he beat him. I looked at him, and didn't even know what to say, so I walked away.

those idiots crack me up. They put a fart can on their car and they automatically have a 10 second car. There was an idiot like that in high school with a neon while I was driving a 86 Notch . this kid had a regular neon, a 5 inch monster tach, Can Can exhaust, Boeing 747 wing, and a miss matched body kit. He had the fastest car in school according to him. Well one day he made the mistake of showing up at Irwindale with this pile. I raced him and all he saw were tailights. Shut his fat mouth up pretty quick. Of course he had the typical ricer excuses(tuning problems, Track not prepped right, too hot out)

Went where everyone meets, there were some turbo 240SX's there. I know these cars can be very fast, but obviously not last night.

those guys are the worst.

Every "modded" 240 I have seen has like 4 different color body panels, no bumper so you can see the intercooler and 20 gauges on the dash/console.

I raced a guy who claimed up and down he had 500 flywheel HP. Ported head, bigger turbo, so I was thinking it might be legitimate . . . beat him by maybe a car in the 1/8. My car at the time had 260rwhp with a c4, not quite 500 flywheel

Less cylinders means lower friction and less weight. See our 5.0's are slow because they have too much engine to lug around. I guess 13" rotors will hurt stopping power because it's going to take more to stop a big rotor than a small rotor.

I should **** some **** up and get paid mad monies for it.

Monster makes a drink called NITROUS now, you know it's only a matter of time before someone puts it in their car.

My buddy had a 2001 dodge neon with cold air, srt4 exhaust, lowered, and in his words " my car is so fast, I think my ECU has a piggy back on it." he thought he could give my 331 powered stang a run for it's money. Lets just say he lost horribly.
