I just got a set of BBK bolt-in sub-frame connectors and went to put them on but cant seem to figure out where they should fit. To fit them on the rear sub-frame the cross-member interferes at the front, but when I move them so they clear the cross-member other brackets run interference at the rear. Anyone got any advice? Thanks in advance.

Are you sure you got the correct ones? Didn't BBK send any instructions?
I would contact BBK directly; they should be able to answer any questions. It's a little difficult to give any good advice without actually being able to see where they're interfering.

BTW - make sure you have them welded. They will do very little to help you if you only bolt them in.

Do not bolt them, they'll damage your chassis and won't do what they're supposed to do at all. Weld them.

Are you sure they're for your year/body style car?

I called BBK and their tech guy said that the 79-93 Ford Mustang Sub-Frame Connectors don't work on 4 cylinders. Good thing it said that in the catalogue...or website...or instructions. Thanks for your input though guys. Now, Can anyone recommend some sub-frame connectors that will fit a 4 cylinder?

Here's that link I was telling you about. Sub-Frames are near the bottom of the page.

All the chassis are the same so i think that guy was smoking something. Anything chassis related that fits on an 8 will fit on a 4. As will most suspension stuff. But if you want to send em back Go ahead. I have steeda's on my car and they Make a HUGE difference in how the car feels. I do agree with everyone though, DO NOT bolt them on, Weld only, usually muffler shops will do it for less then a bill.

The difference seems to be that the cross-member is in a different position.
