Do subframes help only when launching in a straight line or will it help for all around better cornering performance also?

Ditto. What brand are you considering. I have the global west. They are similar to a roll cage. If you don't have a strut tower brace consider that also. Makes a huge difference in handling. Just One Man's Opinion. Peace

I am also in the market for some SFC's. I really like these Edelbrocks. They are full length, have seat brackets and have built in TQ box supports. The TQ box is the selling point for alot of SFC sellers, but these seem to have the most supporting metal at BOTH ends of the connector. just my .02 but I'm going to get them.

Definitely the SFC's that are full length with the TQ box reinforcements. They make a massive difference on my 94 convertible. There's 0 flex and the car feels more solid than my Dad's stock 04 GT hardtop. For $100 and cost of welding, you can't beat them.

How hard is it to install subframes? And any idea on the price of a fair quality welder?

Reason I ask is because I don't have one and they aren't really cheap, I guess I could get them installed at a shop or something.

Before I purchased my welder, i just went to local fab shops or even exhuast shops that do quality work, and they usually weld them in for a case of beer or 40- 50 bucks.

IMO...subframe connectors are subframe connectors, the difference is full length compared to non-full length. I got mine from CGS chassis last year, full length tubulars w/o seat brace, and it feels much more firm than before

what do you guys think?
they dont have the torque box reinforcement but does that make a big difference? Im really thinking about buying these.

Where would be a good place to have these welded in? An exhaust shop or soemthing?

Thanks

That's the maing thing I noticed...no squeeks and squawks when I go over bumps on side streets. That all uses up energy. Also, no twisiting and turning when you go around curves.

I have full lengths.. and theyre welded in.
