Subframe Connectors

Does anyone here have and use the "Grab-A-Trak" subframe connectors on a 66 Fastback? If so, are they eazy to install or is there a better brand out there?

I've use the grab-a-trak ones the they're pretty good for an average street performance set-up. The connectors themselves are a must.

Maier Suspension came out with some pretty good ones. They are much longer and and two weld points front and back to better distribute the load.

how do tubular subs rate against square ones? I'd think tubular would be stronger, but I'm not sure.

I have the tcp connectors (don't know if they're still available) and the "x cage" or whatever they call the connector, connector.

One of my favorite mods. That along with a shelby style roll bar have taken what was likely a SHAKIER than average classic mustang and made it pretty damn pleasent to drive.

Do as much as you can to lock everything down, it's a real pleasure to drive.

Next week I get my 17" wheels and khumos. Should handle pretty nicely. Can't wait.

I have GW tubular subs on order; tried to get TCP subs & X cage but there were none to be had. I'm hoping that GW's subs are as good as the rest of their components.

I was talking from a current availability standpoint. I have the TCP 1&2's on my car. Good stuff but without the center section, sub for sub, I haven't seen a better design than the Maier ones. The don't just attach at the ends of your subframe, the continue further forward and even up the rear sub frame and spread the load by adding more weld points. See here:
