I did a search and didnt quite find what I was looking for, so please help me out just a little. I know the weld in subframe connectors are the best, BUT.......I am not building a track car, just a high horsed street car, weekend driver. I want it to handle at least up to 600 horses when I am done. Question is...are the through the floor connectors overkill and just add more weight when i dont need that much strength and do I just need the weld-in connectors or will the through the floor connectors do me good and not add that much more weight over the ones that just weld in and dont come through the floor. Also, what are the best and where to get them. Thanks and now I will leave this one alone.

600 horses is quite a lot of power. I would at the VERY LEAST get the BEST quality weld on subframe connectors you can get. I would personally be looking into a through the floor job if you dont wanna risk twisting your frame. I would be looking at a good roll cage to tie the frame together also. It's all added weight but necessary at that power level.

Agree with Blk91stang, with that kind of power you need to strengthen the frame...don't forget the torque boxes, you should be looking into installing one of these, in addition to the subframe connectors....My 2¢.

if it's not a dedicated drag car and with that much power i wouldn't be worrying about another 3 pounds of metal (or less) slowing you down bro

Yeah, have you ever driven a Fox Body that was warped? I had an 86GT Vert that would flex going over railroad tracks... it was only pushing 260 or so with 3.55s.

They wouldn't even let you run at the local drag strip here even for fun with 600 horse car and no roll cage!!!

I'm having a set of thru floor subframe connectors installed in about a month or so. It's well worth the money to me. They will be tied into my 6-point roll bar as well. I'd rather do things right the first time.

Will there be much of a weight difference with the weld through the floor type? Also, where do I get the best ones? Would weld in connectors without going through the floor do it for me? What are the best and where to buy from?

thru floor subs are a lot of work to install. There is a lot of welding and cutting to be done. You can buy some precut pieces from wolferacecraft.com. If you're not up to that task, either have it done for you by a professional or just get a set of full lengths from Maximum Motorsports.
