Is there one subframe better than the rest?

Which do you have, and why do you (dis)like them?

Thinking about buying a set for my 03 GT

I will have to agree with SRTHandz. Maximum Motorsports makes an excellent subframe connector. No matter what brand name you get, make sure you get full length connectors.

They will stiffen the whole car up tremendously. Got mine from www.latemodelrestoration.com.

Can you use full length subs with a side exhaust kit on a 98?

I hear MM is the way to go, and from what I've seen stangsuspension.com has the best pricing on them. They are definitely on my mod list, just waiting on cash flow.

I am pretty sure that they won't fit without some custom bending of the exhaust pipes. PM Cobrared_96_gt for more info. He has side pipes on his car too.

I just ordered a pair of MM Full lengths last sunday. With the shipping charge they were pretty much identical in cost to the AM ones since AM has free shipping.

i got my powdercoated MM subframe connectors from american muscle for $159 shipped to my door, that was about $15 cheaper than stangsuspension after shipping and discount.

Not trying to be a party pooper, but I put some BBKs on my 96gt, and I noticed absolutely 0 difference.

Didn't look at shipping, but ss is $142 before tax/shipping, am is $160, so I'm guessing it would be close.

Were they weld-in or bolt-in? Full length?

If they were bolted in and not full length, you probably wouldn't notice much difference. There was a major difference in ride stiffness when I put mine on.

MM full length welded in +1. You can't use side pipes w/ subframes unless you mod. them. I'm not a huge fan of the company mentioned above so I say use MM, I have them and they are great.

Just checking since i am planning on getting a MM full length subframe as well. I have the magnaflow exhaust and that wont in anyway conflict with the subrame right? The magnaflow exhaust is in the back.

Full length welded in. I'm maybe thinking the fact that I have horrible tires won't let me take advantage of the subframe connectors.

just curious...

for you guys that recommend MM have you ever had a car with another brand?

I've got nothing against MM and have a number of MM parts on my car. But I just wondering how a bent piece of tube is all that different between one quality manufacturer and another (I'm not thinking of comparing MM subs to generic $49.00 ones, just other full length weld in ones)
