Sub's...powder coated or bare metal?

I am going to get MM's full length subframe connectors and I dont care if there black or bare metal lookswise but is there any reason not to get bare metal? I live in Southern california so i dont think rust should be a big problem right?
Id rather pay 30 buck less if i can.

Just get the bare steel ones and after there welded on spray them with a chasis paint. You can get the paint at any auto parts store for 5 dollars. This will prevent them from rusting and looking all beat up.

Yeah.. Just get the bare ones because you willhave to grind the coating off to weld then in anyway... Then Loike mustang90 said just paint them...

I liek the powdercoated ones -- you're only grinding off about 10% of the coating, and then you just spray the welds like you would anyway.
