Got me a Mothers Powerball. Used it on the haggard Primes's that came on my car. At least now they shine and will hold me over till next year. I used Blue Magic (about half can) and spent about 20-30 min per wheel.....

I think you have just sold me on the powerball for my daily driver's aluminum wheels. They have extreme brake dust and a little rust.

Dude you are the first person i've seen with the same wheels as me and mine are dirty like yours in the first pic. haha mine also came on my car when I bought it. Im gonna have to try that stuff out they look great after you buffed em out.

The funny thing is, my first mustang was an 87 GT, and I bought a set just like them (16x8) and hevent seen a set yet, till I bought this car. Now there is 3 of em!!! Damn!! Yeah, it saves lots of elbow grease, thought you still have to do a little hand polishing, just not near as much.

you had better luck with it then me my rims look like crap and i am using the power polish for the ball and it isnt't doing that good of a job

Yeah, sorry bout that, I got 3 done, then thought "OH SNAP!!! I NEED TO TAKE A BEFORE PIC!!! You have excellent eyes, my friend. No I dont work for them, and Im not trying to "con" you....LOL....

I was thinking the same thing...do you have an after pic of that wheel that is shown in the before? I would like to see how it got all of that stuff off....

All the wheels looked exaclty the same, lots of brake dust, lots of dirt. I scrbbed em with a brush before I started, and that got some of the brake dust off. Trust me, they all looked the same before, they are all the same after.

I just got a mother's powerball for christmas...WOW is all I can say. I used it on my 03 explorer limited, and those wheels wouldn't get back to factory clean since I got it...took the mother's to it today, and they look like brand new! I have tried everything over the last 2 years on them, and they always looked terrible. If you don't have a mother's powerball...get one..they are great!

I am sure it would be..I would just start slow....it is super soft...it isn't abrasive...it made the wheels shine! this isn't a great before and after pic..but you can see the increase in shine and also all the muck in the first pic (after EXTENSIVE scrubbing with a sponge), and how it is gone in the 2nd pic:

yeah,me too.it really depends on the wheels and what kind of aluminum too.My Alcoas on my truck,it aint worth a damn

Just to add the power ball is only as good as the polish cleaner being used and how fast the drill spins (RPMs). Powerball has a max of 2000rpms but most cheap drill (under $80) have a max rpm of 900 or less. I used the powerball with mother polish cleaner in this kit http://www.autogeek.net/mokit.html. It worked great on my dragwelds, made quick work of the oxidation.
