Suggested tire size for 18s?

Just recently purchased some 18x9 Polished Cobra replica rims and I need some help picking out tires. I was feeling anxious so I put the car on the lift and tossed a rim on...minus a tire...just to get a feel for the look of the rims. To my not-so-trained eye, it appeared as though there would be clearance issues with these things, but the vendor is quite confident that they will work just fine. He suggested 245/35/18 but I just wanted to know what everyone else thought.

94 3.8 V6...suspension is bone stock.

I got 245's on my stock 16's, and so far no clearance issues. I don't think you should have problems, you might even want to try 255+ in the back. A friend of mine has 275's on 17's on his rear, and I don't think he had problems with it.
