Suggestions and links for Cassette Deck for 1969 Mach1

I have an older, not classic , JVC cassette deck, that probably has very low wattage.

Of course it is shaft mounted.

I'm looking for makers and links to shaft mounted car stereos with at least 35w per channel (4 channels), separate bass and trebble and not one of the CustomAutosound offerrings as seen in the classic mustang catalogs.

I saw one website, but can't find it again, that offerred the newer style head units with a new dash bezel for your specific car so you didn't cut your original bezel. If anybody could help find that site that would be great.

Or if you know where I can get just the bezel for a 1969 mach1 made for the newer style head units that would work too.

I would prefer to go with a higher power retro stereo than a newer style for car show reasons...but I have more options with a newer head unit.


Running an amp is an option, but as the car is show, I didn't want to run a big ol' red cable from the battery through firewall to trunk or under the seat for the amp.


help please, come on you young'uns...can't you help a middle aged man and his classic car get clearer volume out of his retro music?

I found the company that had new style head units in a 1969/70 radio bezel...I dig the modified bezel, but not too keen on paying so much for their head unit...rather get the bezel and search out for a different and cheaper head unit...

too bad shaft mounted radios are passe.
