Anyone use this? If so, post me some feedback. I have seen posts on the Summit TB's a long time back ... but my search found nothing.

Just wondering about the quality of them. They cost ALOT less than the BBK & Edelbrock's.

Wow, did more searching.

This IS NOT going to be a TB debate thread (as far as size). Feel free to debate the brands, lol. I will either get a 70mm or 75mm. But more than likely a 70mm. Who cares! Every thread I pulled up was more or less an argument. No need for that.

I do know this ... from all that I have seen ... I WILL NOT be getting a Professional Products TB.

Need info. on the Summit one ......

FWIW,

You can usually call Summit and ask them where they get their products made. I've done this a couple times, with varying results.

Just did that. Sales dept. had no idea what the source was. The tech. dept. says that it is a Professional Products unit.

PP is the only TB that I have heard bad things about.

So what next ... BBK is good? I will not do a Fox conversion .. so Accufab is out of the question. Unless I can find a used SN95 one.

The BBK unit we put on Sage2k's car was top notch. No whistle from it, looked well made.

Glad to hear you got it nailed down Justin. I've seen BBKs go as low as $170 new on ebay.

I will say this without regard to cost

Everything I've seen about Accufab makes me think it is a Quality part
also
I believe I've seen it said they flow better than most others

With this hobby ... its almost always a true statement when you say ....

You get what you pay for

Like others have said ... I seen lots of bad about the PP tb's

I had a professional product TB. It made the car Look 100 x better in the engine bay than my 65mm FRPP. The car idles 10 x BETTER NOTICEABLY. Only defect was that there were some metal spurs I had to sand off (not kidding).

I went for the Summit Racing 75mm TB. It was a very nice piece and it fitted perfectly. No problems except that the bolt holes were too small so I had to drill them out. I like it.

Keith must have got the best of the bunch.....I have the PP TB....and only because I havn't gotten around to replacing it....had to bore 3 of the 4 holes to match the TF elbow....shouldn't matter....and the idle screw kept falling out and had to be lock tighted...........spend the extra coin and never regret it.....I'll beat you Justin.......if you get one....

Don told me to get a Ford Racing and not to look back. When I get the money I'll be upgrading my BBK 65mm.
