Super Rich at idle .... ???

Well i figured id ask even tho it does not bother me cuz the car runs great. But Why at idle would my car run super rich. I dont have Cats on the car and went to emissions and they said i passed everything but the idle test 7 times the legal limit.

Im running 24# inj. 255 pump. MSD 6al. 306 w/ all boltons and heads. Autolite plugs. FMS wires and stock distributor

whats you fuel pressure at idle with the vac off?

was the engine cold when they did the test

18deg... Use to be on 16 even on 16 it did it.. put it on 18 and it really woke the car up

car was warm

Timing made a hug difference in my car too.......maybe a few more degrees might get rid of some of the richness down low. If it runs good let it be

runs real good. i think im jus gonna get an apexi FMU and air / fuel ratio since i will be i need for that after i get the turbo anyway so i can tune it.
