Does Saleen used the same mustang gt block and heads for their 281SC? are they cast internals? if so how can it be safe to push an engine to it's limits with a supercharger without it blowing a hole in a piston or throwing a rod? Didn't the 03/04 cobras have forged internals with the supercharger?

Regular SC281's have the same internals as a regular gt. The Saleen extremes have a built block though.

Make sure to upgrade your fuel pump for one.

Dang that is disapointing. I am just going with an upgraded maf, pulley and SCT tune for some additional power before I make the swap to a kb 2.2l or saleen series V e blower.

Edit: This is sstrayer, I'm at my buddy's place.

Hopefully there is an exhaust leak or something going on. Are you swapping the 2.2KB onto your S2 intake?

Nah the intake is the main problem with our blowers I am getting the whole kit or I am trying to get some discontinued 2.3l Allen race superchargers. Trying to get the owner to sell me a kit at a discontinued price.

Dont push the engine over 450HP.Just make sure you fuel System is up to capacity, and you have an awesome tunes. The 03/04 cobras have forged internals from the factory.
