are all '03 machs supercharged? how can i tell if my wife's is? i am sure i am not that lucky.

can we just put one on? i know nothing about it, so...

would that take us to around 390hp or so?

can i just take it to a reputable shop, drop it off and ask them to put one on? can the dealership do it?

what kinda ballpark would we be in, moneywise?

btw, how can i find out what kind of rear is in it?

supercharged= no
rear end = straight axle 28 spline
can you sc = yes, ballpark of 5 grand
dealer do it = I wouldnt let them if they could

no year mach 1's are super charged. All 2003 cobras are supercharged.

yes a supercharger could put u in the area of 390hp on a mach which is a bit curious cause thats what 03 cobras are making. expect to spend at least $4000 for a supercharger.

do yourdelf a favor and figure out what kind of car you have first is it a 03 mach or 03 cobra it should be written plain as day somewhere on the car.

No the 03 Mach 1 is not supercharged. Yes you can supercharge the Mach 1. Vortech makes a supercharger kit for the Mach 1 but i'm not sure how much it costs. The Mach 1 has a 8.8 solid rear axle with 3.55 gears.

we got the mach for cheap, slightly used.

maybe i'll just put steeper gears in it and be done. i'm not paying 4-5k. geez i could buy a crate motor that puts out 500hp for that much. oh well.

Gotta pay to play. Steep gears and bolt ons and that car is still

Vortech says their base supercharger kit for the Mach 1 makes 460 flywheel hp, and the intercooled kit makes 484. 5.0 magazine tested a Vortech/aftercooled Mach 1 against a stock 03 Cobra and it wasn't even close ...the Mach ran 11.9 at just over 120mph. The price on Vortech's site is listed at $6,191.95 for the aftercooled kit - which is preferred due to the high compression ratio of Mach. The non aftercooled kit is $5,139.

Cant get a n/a modular crate motor to make that much power for $4000.

You can always bottle feed it if you don't want to spend that much. The car already has 3:55 gears in it. A lil juice in a higher compression motor like the Mach's will go a long ways.
