supercharger BOV?

hey im just curious....
im saving up my money for a vortech supercharger. my friend has a turbo rx7 with a blow off valve. the sound the BOV makes when he hits the clutch is sick! he told me that they make similar things for supercharger systems that will release backpressure and make that sound. is this true, cuz ill have to invest in one if it is.

Unfortunately, most Mustang supercharger BOV's blow the air back into the inlet track which does not make that much noise. Even Mustang turbo kits blow it back into the inlet.

you can prob just have it vent into the atmosphere instead of blowing back into the air intake, but it will prob run like crap b/c it has already taken into account the air in the intake so when you vent it, its like its loosing air. it may wanna stall after it vents if you vent it to the atmoshere. i know that how it is with turbo's im guessing it would be the same.

Yup, i've always wondered how these import cars can vent to the atmosphere and not have a problem but us Mustang guys must always vent back into the intake tube AFTER the MAF meter.

I think it sounds nice when i hear a BOV on an eclipse, WRX or RX-7 as they are trying to keep up with me :)

ha ya that is my thread i am geting a bypass now they still sound nice you can bypass back into the atmosphere as long as when it backs up I.E during shifts etc it is opened before the mass air so it lets un metered air out. i wouldnt get a racing bypass either cause i have heard they can relase to much air makeing geting full boost slower once on the throttle.

If your pushing 6psi or more, than a normal bypass is recomended. Race Bypasses are for a lot of boost. I have a Bosch bypass waiting to go in, I think this is a really popular bypass, since I see it around so much. it's good to 15psi, and I was told buy the person I bought it from is that it's better than the standard Vortech bypass because the internals a metal...
