NOVI-2000 System for 1994-1995 5.0L Ford Mustang GT/Cobra

I'm thinking of getting it. Are there any other superchargers in that price range? Maybe a better one? Also, what exactly would this system do to my car rwhp and torque wise. Should i get it?

thanx

yeah a powerdyne! LOL. I personally would save a little more for the s-trim. They just dropped the price to $2500 and it will make a lot more power than that S/C.

This is a stupid question, will this Vortech Supercharger Kit will replace my 302? Meaning, is this thing a whole new engine.

Not a replacement engine, it bolts on to your current engine. Got to Vortech's page and find a 94-95 supercharger and I think you can click on installation instructions. That might clear it up for you.

the kit just pertains to the head unit, brackets, and lines with a couple more bells and whistles.

Right!!

It's not the QUESTIONS that are stupid!

Not dissing you, but if you didnt know what a supercharger entails, you may not yet be ready for one.

We can help you learn tho!

Im not so sure bolting on a supercharger to a completely stock motor is such a good idea either. Obviously they did if it started out at 215 hp........But I would suggest doing all your other bolt ons first. You will get a lot more out of it in the long run.

honestly, you should do a lot of research on superchargers before ordering one....just my opinon, i personally would choose the novi2000 over the s-trim.

EXACTLY! As far as I know the Novi-2000 moves WAY more air than the S-trim. I think the Novi 2000 moves ~1800cfm whereas the S-trim maxes out at like 1300cfm. I am not positive on these numbers but I know the Novi-2000 is capable of substantially more boost than the S-trim.

With the price of the Vortechs coming way down, and the availablilty of used ones all over...You HAVE to consider the Vortech if money is a factor...The additional money you would save over the Novi could do your supporting mods: Fuel system, BTM, coil, chip/tune, etc.

I agree!

IMHO, instead of WHICH blower I think your research should focus on what all is involved when you put a blower on your car.

Go to the sites like Vortech, Procharger, etc and read the fac sections and then spend some time lurking around in the power adder forums to see what others have gone through with their blowers.

I'm not trying to sway you away from running a blower on your car but just letting you know that it is not a simple thing like bolting on intake, headers, tb and such.

There are no better superchargers then a Paxton Novi 2000, the thing is capable of producing more power then your block will ever handel. W/ the stock pully you can see up to 8-10 PSI of boost and should w/ out to much trouble see 350 RWHP on stock heads and cam ( along w/ other mods that should be done to the car before hand) Im saying all this from one very happy Paxton Novi 2000 owner. I have vids of mine running on the car if your interested in seeing it, oh yeah BTW its not wisper quiet as they advertise...haha

Yeah but Sooooooo many people already have Vortechs, Thats why I want w/ a Novi 2000 just to be diffrent. The quality is just as good as vortech and the power that can be made w/ it could dip you into the 9's if you had the car to support it.
