Well I have decided to let the warranty go and get my money back. Thankss to those that chimed in on that post!

Now the question is... What is the best blower for the money? What is the most complete kit? Which one is the easiest to install? Is there one that can be installed and not have to be dyno tuned? I would like one that I can do in the driveway (I am mechanically inclined) and not have to take it for a tune unless I want more power. Needs to be safe as far as initial install / tune (if it comes with a chip) goes. I will eventually get it dyno tuned but will have to wait a little while if I spend the cash on it!

Thanks

If you will be in the market for a blower.Since you are
looking for a kit that is complete and also dependable I say get a mongoose
kit from Cobra Killer (aka Tim) I would get a Vortech or Paxton! Also
his site is www.modularfordpowerhouse.com you mite want to check it out
Frazier.Cobra killers' tuned chip is also the best right next to Steeda's tuned
chip witch is very safe.Plus Tim has deals!
Mongoose Kit :nice: :nice:

My KB was easy to install. The chip that they gave me works fine and I have no trouble with it at all. You can get a 6 or 9lb kit, depending on how much power you want. Cobra Killer has some good kits too...either way you can't go wrong. :nice:

Just want to clear something up....Tim and Steeda tune through computer reflashes....not chips. ;)

remember the KB is also very new....so the problems may not have come about yet

Don't get me wrong i'm very interested in seeing a KB GT in action but to run 9psi with the KB you gotta get teh intercooler and that definitely is a lot more $$$$ than the Vortech or Novi.

The warranty is an extended from another company. As far as blowers go, I am not sure I want the KB because I will have to get rid of the bullit upper intake. I guess that I could sell it and get some of the cash back from buying the blower, but I would want to keep it so that it can be changed back to all stock if I sell it at some point.

vortech with a paxton air to air intercooler would put down over 400rwhp easily im sure . Thats what I would do

since you already hvae a bullit it is kind of a toss up. on a normal gt the kene bell seems like a no brainer since it replaces the stock crappy plastic intake. one thing to consider is you could get some coin out of you intake if you got the kene bell.

I would purchase form tim either way. I don't think you could go wrong with either kit. if you like bottom end power the KB rules.

really depends on what your final RWHP goals are - KB may be nice for daily rippin', and tearing on the street w/ boost at lower rpm's, but a centrifugal s/c may be better for you if your wanting much higher RWHP eventually. You need to answer that question for yourself before you go any further. The mongoose kits are very nice, but if you want to go far and beyond what RWHP they make you will end up upgrading the mongoose kit fairly quickly. IMO get it right the first time. I'll have way overkill for my current RWHP goal of ~430 RWHP. Until I get teh forged VT 302 stroker that is. Then I'll get an even smaller pully blower cams etc etc, and make some serious RWHP. I'll be ordering 55# injectors, and an 03 Cobra fuel pump and 03 Cobra fuel tank soon. This set up should be capable of supporting ~700 RWHP I believe. And to get that RWHP will be easy for me later on with the forged internals which most s/c will eventually be getting anyhow. If your final goal is 400 RHWP sure do a KB, and enjoy low rpm boost all day. However I'll enjoy boost a little higher up anyway since I don't see how I'm gonna get traction as is, plus the way I drive boost will not always be necessary at lower rpm's. KB's final cost seem to keep going and going also. I'll have spent a little over $6K as is on all this when the car is all tuned and ready to go. But agian I'm way overkilling now so I won't have to re-do mods later. It can all be done much cheaper it just depends on what your goals are. Teh Novi 2K, and Intercooler are more expensive than other alternatives -

I just want more rwhp for daily driving. I don't go to the drag stip or anything (though I may after getting blown)! I just want reliable daily driven hp. 350 - 375 would be nice.

A vortech even without the intercooler will probably more than hit those numbers , call T&Js and see what tim can hook you up with man , best customer service anywhere hands down .

in that case a KB may be what you want. Due to the low end boost you wouldn't have to rev the rpms as much to get boost. However a mongoose kit from T & J (I think they currently have a special for a free T-trim impellar upgrade for the offered SQ-trim) should definately be the most economical way to reach 350-375 if that's all you'll ever want. Actually Michael Kids T-trim had his Stang up tp 663 RWHP anyways. If you change your mind, or become addicted to RWHP then all you would have to do later on is upgrade that set up and that blower can take you pretty far. KB will cost much more than that option.
