So in the Spring when the car comes back out I'm going to put a supercharger on it. I've narrowed it down to the Kenne Bell and the Vortech S-trim. The only addition I have is the exhaust. Which one do you guys like better, anyone have dynos of a stock 5.0 with just one of these 2 power adders? Will my stock fuel delivery system be sufficient for running up to 8 lbs of boost? I know some of the latter questions are answered elsewhere on the forum but I'd like to get all this information here. Thanks a lot guys.

I don't think you can go wrong with either. The kenne bell is a positive displacement blower which means you will make power a lot earlier. The vortech will make power later after you build some rpm. I like them both so it just comes down to personal preference.

Yes you can get by with the stock fuel system but IMO if your gonna build a blower car go ahead and start off with parts you can grow with. Stock injectors and an FMU can result in some tunning issues even with low boost 8psi. I would go with at least a set of 36 lb injectors and a 255lgh fuel pump and loose the FMU.

even at 8psi you are really pushing the limits of the stock fuel system even with the fmu. i recommend a minimum of 30lb injectors and a 255lph pump. (assuming you are leaving the heads, intake, and cam stock) if not, 36lb injectors at the very least.

I would love a bigger supercharger, but my engine only has 51,000 on it. Thanks for the advice so far. I usually don't cheap out on stuff so I'll probably get the bigger fuel pump and injectors. I'm leaning towards the S-trim because I hear so many good things about it.

lol for a 5.0 51,000 is nothing as long as ur taking kare of it....quite often these motors last to 200,000 miles...eh but not in the race world.....just in every day driving...infact i saw a 5.0L the other day at the shop original factory sparkplug wires 215k miles on the car
