Ok guys heres ther deal. Im getting my vortech v2 sq installed in the spring. I want to make around 380 to the wheels. The car is basically stock performance wise right now. Would it be safer to use a 10-12 psi pulley and have my tuner tune it accordingly to get around 380, or would it be safer to use the stock 8 psi pulley and upgrade midpipe catback, and tb and plenum in order to achieve that power using the 8 spi pulley? Is my thinking eve logical? Hopefully im making sense . Thanks guys

Aaron

the less psi the less heat and therefore more safe, I'd go with the 8 psi and upgrades.

I was hoping for what you are when I installed my P1SC-2 kit from ATI. to my surprize it made 413rwhp without the powerpipe and then 430 with it. this with the stock 3.4 pulley. I have stock exhaust except for catback and a couple bolt ons along with fuel system upgrades.

That awsome dude.

I would think if you had an intercooler that using a 9-10psi pulley would be no thang.

I of course have to cast a vote for the KB, I have a 7psi pulley and am quite impressed. One day I will upgrade to the 9psi IC kit, but for now, I can only afford what I have. It totally changes your car, it never stops pulling, I think if I let it, it would pull it self right into a ball of flames. Muwahahahahaha

I'm getting close to 400rwhp with my mods. With the AFM powerpipe you should see 9lbs of boost. I'm set a good safe tune since it is my daily driver. Could easily go over 400rwhp.

you can just click the My Garage link below my name and see all the mods I have on the car to this point.

Just out of curiosity.....

what do you guys think I would gain with SLP longtubes and Catted high flow Xpipe? I was thinking that my boost would drop a couple pounds without the added restriction and my HP would go up another 20-30. let the debate begin.
