Was thinking about finally buying a supercharger this spring. I have been reading with the increase in compression will cause some problems with the supercharger. Most people are saying that you can only run 6psi and must have a very good tune or rebuild the bottom end. It sounds like I'm almost better off just keeping my Zex kit and forgetting about the charger. Also what kind of HP is expected out of 6psi(I know it will be a range but just looking for a est.).

well you can have just as many problems with the nitrous. but, if you really want to do the s/c, the easiest way to get it to work with fewer headaches & worry, is to have a little head work done. if you have the swirl dams removed it will lower compression & make it a little more boost friendly

Or you can get a forged bottom end and use low compression pistons. I would not consider the S/C with 10.5:1 compression.
