hey im looking in supercharging my 03 GT and I'm wondering waht unit will give me the best sound, HP, TQ, and times without blowing up my engine . i have the warranty and will a blower pretty much void that? i really want to do this but i dont want to kill my engine in the process... what all will i need to be on the safe side and still go very fast? thanks alot guys!

i say Kenne Bell. and a blower could void your warranty im thinking. and you do need that warranty.

You dont need a warranty if u brake something FORD isnst going to fix it anyway. I had the second most expensive bumper to bumper warranty on my 96 cobra and broke my swaybar one nite and took it in to have it fixed under warranty and they charged me full price saying my BUMPER TO BUMPER 36,000 mile warranty didnt cover that! ok well bumper to bumper the sway bars in there so ? Get a s/c and say screw the warranty it wont help u anyways hope u didnt pay $ for it like i did.

i was once in your position. wait untill your warranty is up, then add a s/c. that way, if anything happens to break that shouldn't, it will still be covered under warranty. in the meenwhile, get the supporting mods. IE: exhaust, gears, suspension.

but DO NOT get the u/d pulleys and t/a if you want a s/c. they will be useless once the blower goes on.

My suggestion is go with a Kenne Bell blower. And yes, it will void your warranty. If I were you, I would wait until the warranty has expired...that's what I did.

thanks for all the lep guys... i bet it would be a good idea to wait til the warranty expires.. but thats a long time! i got the extended warranty so i guess im screwed for another 5 yrs huh? damn. oh well... thanx again!

You can cancel your extended warranty at any time and still have the basic 3/36,000, and it will drop your car payments 25.00 bucks or so.

Don't let Ford tell you the warranty is void, that is b.s.

Ford would have to prove that the item you bring up to be repaired under warranty actually failed because of any non-Ford part you installed. They just can't have a blanket warranty voiding because you installed anything.

Now if you blast the connecting rod thru the block at 7000 rpm in your supercharged 'stang, don't expect it to be covered. If a failure is legitimately unlinked to the mod, they HAVE to fix it under warranty.

Supposedly you will not void your warranty by properly installing a s/c. But everyone here knows how Ford likes to screw you around so just know if you install before your warranty is up that Ford will do all in their power to try to link any problems to the s/c. I ended up wait to mod my car until my warranty was up though.

Talk to your dealer first , I discussed this with my dealer and they said as long as I didnt rig crap up and could get it professionally tuned , by Tim of course at T&Js (the best ) and have the air fuel data logged for proof that the tune was safe , that they would have no problem standing behind my extended warranty . Its good to have a good relationship with your dealer . Just make sure you get it tuned .

An aftermarket part WILL void your warranty for anything that breaks as a direct result of the aftermarket part. In the case of a supercharger, the dealer will argue that you've essentially doubled the horsepower and torque of the engine, and that the engine, transmission, rear end, and who knows what else were not designed to withstand it. You'll have an uphil battle trying to get any warrantly work done on a blown mustang.

There are dealers out there that are mod-freindly (see above), but they are definately in the minority.
